dif. enters the space race
callout for writing and artwork for zine #4
emerging bleary eyed from the eclipse, we are over the moon to announce that dif. will officially be entering the space race. join us as we prepare to shoot to the exosphere for our fourth zine, exploring queer futures, the alien, surreal and hyperreal. cosmonauts, astronauts and extraterrestrials, it’s about time the gays (officially) made it into space.
your words / art / photography could join us on our mission to above and beyond. this time, we want you to reflect forward: we’re looking for works with a focus on the strange and surreal, the alien and the nebulous. design wise, this edition is inspired by retro-futurism, two-tone and monochrome artwork, H.R. Giger chrome, metallic textures and postmodernism. space is infinite; what could it mean for you? what queer future can be had, what ceilings broken? above all, be yourself, be dif.
the future is in our hands: please note that we won’t accept content made using AI. however, works reflecting on the effects of AI would definitely be in keeping with this zine’s theme.
